In April 2005, I finally found my calling after working in Sales and Retail Management. I joined Richard, Wayne and Roberts of Houston, TX and ran a full life cycle recruiting desk servicing the Biotech/Pharma industry. In my first year it became clear that I finally loved my job. I won Rookie of the Year and recognized multiple times by exceeding monthly billings of $20,000 +.
Internet Research and Sourcing quickly became my calling: I started networking on strategic sourcing methodologies. Not only did I find passive talent but it also helped me to differentiate my unique brand from colleagues. Recognizing that the technical specification of a job order is insufficient to talent sourcing, I gained the trust of numerous clients and worked directly with hiring managers to identify the real job – the specific problems to be solved.
I was recruited by a former boss at RWR to work for another staffing firm. My time was spent finding talented people through deep Internet searches and multiple research techniques. In one instance, I was approached by the President of the company to train each recruiter how to establish and utilize their online social media presence through Linked In and other Social Media sites.
In January 2010, I was handpicked by the renowned Shally Steckerl to join his apprentice program and learn the art form and strategies of sourcing. I participated in the Arbita SourceCon interactive labs at SourceCon 2010 in San Diego, CA by sharing my knowledge of Cold Calling/Phone Sourcing and different methodologies to source candidates through Twitter.
2011- February 2013 (Present)
I currently work with Job Seekers by identifying various strategies to help them with their career search. My belief is building strong long lasting quality relationships. I custom create multiple techniques to help each person identify ways to network and connect online/offline tailored to their particular industry and search.
I work with job seekers by fully implementing or training individuals on how to establish, build, maintain and monetize their strategic social media presence through online networks such as:
